Whimsical Wedding at The Stables at 1885 Farms
This wedding felt like a magical day in the Shire with Frodo Baggins. The Shire was also referenced more times than I could count throughout the day so I am not making this feeling up for descriptive storytelling purposes.
This was more than just a wedding day with family and friends, it was a fully thought out wedding weekend with an itinerary. CJ & Spencer are nomads and live in different parts of the country throughout the year so their wedding weekend was a time to bring everyone together in the same place to truly spend some quality time together. The couple invited their friends and family to celebrate with them on the venue property for an extended weekend. Lodging on the property was a beautiful stone mansion with an indoor pool, hot tub, theater room with tons of outdoor recreational activities.
If you are looking to elevate your wedding weekend and maximize the time you get to spend with your people I highly recommend booking a venue with housing on property or renting an off site airbnb where everyone can gather. Wedding days go by in the blink of an eye so why not extend the party for an extra long weekend!
The best thing about being a wedding photographer is working with the coolest couples and I could the CJ & Spencer were my kind of people from our very first welcome call. They were so relaxed, went with the flow and gave off the best vibes!
Their day was seriously so much fun and felt like a party the entire day. We never felt rushed going from one part of the day to the next which is the best feeling when documenting someone's love story. I hope they have the same thoughts when looking back on their wedding day!
Some of my favorite details about their day was that they had no single use plastics (we love a sustainable wedding), CJs reception dress swap & the bride and groom going out in a canoe to end the night!
