What to Wear for Engagement Photos

So many times when planning engagement sessions I get the question of, “what should we wear?” So let’s break it down!

First, wear what you feel most comfortable in! These are big moments and you definitely want to feel (and look) your best. When you are comfortable your true personalities will come through in your photos and you will love them even more!

Second, I always recommend sticking with neutrals or earthy tones. These colors really complement my editing style and will get you the most gorgeous images. I know that style is a big reason why you choose a photographer so why not choose an outfit that will truly represent the work you see on my website and social media platforms. Avoid bold colors and prints like large florals, stripes, plaid and bright colors. Bold prints often do not photograph well and are very distracting to the eye and the same goes for bold colors. You want everyone's eyes to go to how stunning you and your significant other are and not directly to your clothing.

Lastly, for the ladies! If you are trying to decide between form fitting and flowy I always say flowy. This will give your photos more movement and it photographs beautifully.

I hope these tips help with choosing an outfit for your session! If you need some additional help I have added two of my Pinterest boards for inspiration!
