Choosing the Perfect Wedding Venue

Grab your wedding planner. It is time to talk venues! Picking a venue is such an important part of your wedding planning decisions. There are so many options when it comes to picking your dream venue. Throughout the process you will want to ask yourself multiple questions to help you decide what venue is the best fit for you and your fiancé.

Here are the questions you will want to address before picking your dream venue:

What style are you drawn to? Maybe it’s exposed brick, steel beams, rustic barns, sleek ballrooms or an outdoor green space.

Do you envision yourself walking across a garden or maybe down a city street for your first look? Or do you see yourself saying ‘I Do’ in front of beautiful white pillars?

Do you envision your reception surrounded by friends and family on a rooftop or maybe cocktail hour in a shark habitat?

You will also want to have a good grasp on your guest list. Will you be having a small intimate wedding or a large celebration? The size of your guest list will be a determining factor of which venue will meet your needs.

Lastly, what is your budget? If there is one thing you want to stick to while planning a wedding it is budget. You can totally have your dream wedding while staying within your financial means.

Here are some of my favorite venues in central and northeast Ohio. Enjoy!

I reached out to a few Ohio Wedding Planners and asked them which venue is their favorite and why? Here is what they said!

“Ariel pearl in old Brooklyn. Feels like a hidden gem to me, having grown up not too far away from there. I went to church nearby, my dentist was across the street. It's one of the only buildings in its area that's kept its historic charm. Upon entering you are immediately transported from the inner city to elegance. Even though it was a bank, it feels like it's been created for weddings-from the entrance, to the big windows in the ballroom, by candlelight the vault feels especially romantic. Hands down, my personal favorite venue. Perfectly Planned loves working there and with their staff.”

“There’s so many amazing wedding venues in northeast Ohio so this is tough! I’m loving White Rose Barn! It’s brand new, close to my house (always a perk after a 12-18 hour wedding day), has tons of natural light, is all white, and has gorgeous chandeliers! Talk about rustic elegance! Plus it has an adorable “bridal barn” on site!”
